The freestanding case has a Cossack cavalry uniform from southern Russia, in what is now Ukraine. The coat is made of raw wool and worn over and Army uniform.

The Japanese flag belonged to General Shizuo Yokoyama, commander of the Imperial Japanese Army’s 41st Army in the Philippines. General Yokoyama was convicted of war crimes and sentenced to death. He was pardoned by Philippines President Elpidio Quirino and returned to Japan in 1953.
